We’ve
all heard the saying "When pigs fly!" – but what about when pigs run for
office? The candidates in Flint’s mayoral race all missed the filing deadline,
which has resulted in an all write-in candidate field, including a “Giggles the
Pig.” Moral of the story: if you’re thinking about running for office, make
sure you know the state laws and deadlines around filing and campaign finance
procedure.
